Water heaters can be difficult to convert depending on their age. If you want to make the switch to gas but your water heater is more than 5 years old, we recommend purchasing a new water heater instead of converting your current one. We recommend purchasing over converting in this scenario because the process of converting your current heater would require replacing all of the internal parts of the heating elements-assuming the correct parts are even still available.

It's important to note that when converting your furnace from propane to gas, the pressure will need to be adjusted.
